Red Hair Disappearing: GlobalTV in Canada

Yes, sure, we’re all tiring a bit of the red-hair-is-going-extinct news flash, but where there’s a wisp of smoke people will look for even a single smoldering ash.

Canada’s GlobalTV sent a camera crew to my office in mid-January but never gave me a solid date on when the feature would air so I had pretty much given hope. But when sign-ups shot up the other day I knew something was up.

The story aired Tuesday, March 3rd. It’s got a fun take on the extinction worry. I especially like the red wig-sporting camera.

In early February 2008 I flew out to London to attend a redhead gathering that Channel 5 News organized as a feature for the relaunch of their website and the launch of their new host.

It was a blast. Never before have I seen so many redheads in one place. Channel 5 was great and the story, which aired on Feb 19th, was fantastic. That’s HannahBanannah, the beautiful redhead standing still in the beginning, and interviewed later.
